The American Indian Commercial Tobacco Program (AICTP) was created specifically to help American Indian people quit commercial tobacco. And, the program is further tailored for people in many places in life. Ways We Can Help

In our Program, we use clinically proven methods to help people quit commercial tobacco every day — and we can help your family, friend or loved one on their quit journey.

Coaching Support

Research shows people who use coaching services to quit commercial tobacco are more likely to be successful than people who choose online-only options or try to quit on their own. By choosing a program including coaching, you’re one step closer to success.

Throughout your quit journey with the AICTP, your American Indian Coach will provide up to 10 calls to check in. These calls can be used to discuss your quit plan, possible triggers, milestones and slips. While each person has their own individual quit plan, most calls last about 15-20 minutes and are scheduled every one to two weeks. You also have access to technology-based coaching support, including email, text and chat.

Our AICTP Coaches are among the most experienced in the country. Your Coach has a college degree or equivalent clinical experience and has completed thorough quitline training. They are supportive, caring and nonjudgmental — their goal is to help you succeed in quitting!

Online Support

Once you enroll in the AICTP Online or Online + Phone program, you gain access to a supportive online community. This community includes people who are trying to quit commercial tobacco, or who have already quit successfully, and others who have a loved one who uses commercial tobacco. The AICTP has online forums and a comprehensive library of information to provide you with 24/7 online support.

The AICTP is built on proven strategies. We walk you through the best ways to quit commercial tobacco for good based on your unique background, culture, life experience and personal goals. Our clinically proven methods help more than 150 people quit commercial tobacco every day. We help people individually, based on their personal background, culture, life experience and goals.

Whatever your personal challenges, the AICTP can help you. Our program was created specifically to help American Indian people quit commercial tobacco. And, the program is further tailored for people in many places in life. We work with people from all walks of life, including women who are pregnant, teens who are vaping, people with behavioral health concerns and Two Spirit people.
